This metal frame has such detailing in the back of it as well as the front. Angels and flowers were hammered out from the reverse side, and then painted. Much of the paint has worn off due to its age, leaving it even better and perfectly charming.

We added antique mirror in the middle, where it appeared that maybe there was originally a mirror or round enameled piece at one time. There is no hook on the back to attach it to the wall, but we like it resting against the wall or displayed on an easel anyways. Light in weight.
