These vintage/antique metal sculptures appear to be spelter but are finished in a gold tone that has touches of verdigris throughout. They appear to be a boy and a girl, the girl holds up high a laurel wreath and book and her other hand is on a pump. The boy is holding high a bird wrapped in serpents and his other hand rests on a ships wheel. They are most likely French and we are sure that they are full of symbolism, probably based on Greek Mythology, but since we are not Greek Scholars, we will not embarass ourselves by guessing!
They are very chic and we like the smaller size. You could place them on lucite blocks to make them modern-- or taller.
