A beautifully crafted vintage box, with intricate needlework on the top lid. This "fish" is most likely a souvenir from years ago, brought back from a trip to China - and it is in fantastic condition. The box itself is covered in a soft silk or matte-satin material, and the face of the box has many different needlepoint stitches. The scales are so realistic and the colours are so soft and pretty. The inside of the box is a gorgeous 'petal/salmon pink' colour and stayes hinged with a covered hinge on the back. This would look great atop a table, or standing up to display on a bookshelf. Or since it is a box, you can use it for so many different things!
