RETURNS/EXCHANGES:

Because we deal in mostly vintage and antique objects, each item is sold "as is". We do our very best  to disclose all the details of every product with written description and numerous photographs. Please read all descriptions and make note of all measurements. If dimensions are not given, contact us before purchasing.  

 

If you change your mind after purchasing, we will be happy to accommodate a return for store credit only, or exchange within 21 days of receipt of merchandise.  Merchandise returned or exchanged must be in new condition and must include the original packaging along with a copy of the original invoice or packing slip. 

 

If any damage incurs due to our packing, we will refund the item. Please return in original box with copy of receipt.

 

 

SHIPPING/TAX:

All orders will leave our office to be shipped within 7-10 business days. If you need a rush delivery, please contact us.

If we are able to ship for less than quoted during checkout, we will refund your account the difference. We know that shipping costs add to the final cost of your purchase, and we take that into serious consideration when we price our items. Please be assured, that we try to ship at the best posssible price, getting estimates from different carries when necessary. We are currently offering a flat rate of $10 on all items that are not oversized or mentioned otherwise in description.

Please contact us also for shipping rates on over-sized items or items shipped outside of the U.S. 

All orders are shipped from Dallas, Texas.  Orders shipped within the state of TX will be charged sales tax. Orders shipped out of state will not be charged sales tax.

 

 

SHIPPING DISCOUNTS: On some items, especially linens and some ephemera items, our flat rate fee may be more than actual shipping costs. No matter what the object, if shipping costs end up being less than what is quoted (excluding small handling fee) we always credit you back the difference.

 

*WE ARE CURRENTLY IN THE PROCESS OF ADDING SHIPPING OPTIONS TO CANADA AND EUROPE. In the meantime, if you see something you would like to purchase and do not live in the USA, please contact us with your item numbers and we will send you postage quotes.

 

 

 

OUR PACKING SUPPLY RE-USE POLICY:

 

CURIO purchases as little packing materials as possible to use in shipping out our orders. We reuse almost all packaging materials that is shipped to us. When you receive a package from us, please do not expect a brand new cardboard box. Instead, expect a re-used box. And if you see styrofoam peanuts, bubble wrap, or other packing materials inside, know that we are simply reusing them and doing our best to keep this material from entering the waste-stream by recycling it.

 

 

PRIVACY POLICY:

We will not sell, rent, or distribute your name, e-mail address or other identifiable information to any third party. However, if you send us an email with an abundance of compliemnts and kind words (please, pretty please?), we reserve the right to print such wonderful things in our Press & Mentions Page, but to protect your privacy, we will not use your name.

We want you to be extremely happy with your purchase and satisfied with our customer service. If you have any items or questions, please contact us via email or phone before purchasing. 

 

HOLDING ITEMS ON RESERVE:    

We would be happy to place an item on hold for you for 24 hours, and considerations given for a 48 hour hold on oversized and larger items (especially if freight costs are needed), or items where measurements are not given. Please contact us directly via email or phone for this.

 

Even though many of our items do not have multiple quantities, if you see an item you like but need a larger quantity, contact us and we will see if we can get them for you.

Likewise, if you see something you like but need different colours, sizes, styles -- even if it is vintage or antique -- let us know. We always have at least 300+ items in inventory that have not made it to the site yet, and we might have exactly what you are looking for -- or its possible we can find it / know where to get it.

 

 

 

GIFT WRAPPING:

We offer gift wrapping services on items that are under 18". We will include a hand-written note with your words, and embellish the piece beautifully. We use a paper that has been painted by hand in a marbled pattern. It is a work of art in itself. We then tie the package with 100% silk ribbon. Our hand-made paper varies according to the season and availability, as well as colour and pattern. So please let us choose for you. Cost for our wrapping service is only $10.00. 

 

If you are giving an item as a gift, even if you do not opt for our gift-wrapping service, PLEASE DESIGNATE IN THE 'SPECIAL NOTES/INSTRUCTIONS' BOX AT CHECKOUT WHICH ITEM IS A GIFT, WHERE TO SHIP THE GIFT TO,  AND WHERE TO SEND THE RECEIPT TO.

Also, if you are going to gift your purchase, let us know if the recipient is a child, a man, a wedding couple, or someone special and we will add a uniquely festive 'topper' fitting for the gift AND the recipient. No matter what you buy from us, we always strive to make your purchase special in every way,  and especially in its presentation.

 

DISCLAIMER: If you are a member of any animal rights orginization, we have the upmost respect for your views. However, we are located smack-dab in the middle of  "dually" and "camoflage" country and people here eat meat and wear fur. That's just the way it is down here. Although we have animal products on our site, most were found "as is".
